The original filming location was probably in the brewery building, thus giving the height. The building on the right of the lock is a lock keepers hut, which helped them keep dry in the rain, and store poles, and hooks.

These locks also have side pounds to save water. There are three diferent levels with three different paddles to allow the water in and out of the lock chamber.
